Detective Noir

These images are from a project I completed during my first year at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in Rochester. This project was part of my storytelling unit. I decided to write a detective noir-style story after developing an interest in the black-and-white photography often found in 1950s detective films. My goal was to blend this classic aesthetic with a modern 21st-century detective theme.

To complement the story, I also curated a self-portrait series, which I created using props and costumes to portray the character of Detective Avery Frost. The series includes both self-portrait photographs and still-life images.
