Lost in war

"Lost in War" is a photographic project I created during my first year of university. It reimagines the story of two British paratroopers who become separated from their squad during World War II. Set in 1940s Holland, the project captures their perilous journey through unknown terrain as they struggle for survival.

The series draws inspiration from the events of the 1944 British raids known as Operation Market Garden, which took place in Holland and Germany with the goal of capturing bridges and gaining control of the Rhine River. Through these photographs, I aim to portray what it might have been like for British troops who found themselves isolated and had to navigate the occupied fields of Europe.
